The Bay Islands are the perfect place to catch up on afternoon naps, that stack of books you have wanted to read, and those conversations you have wanted to have. It is the kind of place where you can be as busy or still as you want to be. But, to manage your expectations, don't expect TV or Internet. It is a slower pace and what is important in life is a lot more basic.
Diving and Snorkeling
Utila is renowned worldwide for its inexpensive Padi scuba certificate courses. There are many dive shops in East Harbor (Utila). You will be able to get an open water certificate for under $300, which makes Utila one of the most cost effective places to learn how to dive. If you are already a certified diver, Barry can help arrange a rental of equipment and take you to some of the areas best diving sites. Cost of a diving trip is $150 USD. If diving is a little too extreme, the waters surrounding the islands are wonderful for snorkeling, swimming, or just relaxing in the warm tropical waters.
We also offer diving packages: Our packages are exclusive for our guest or visiting friends around the island. Imagine having an exciting vacation entirely planned for you. This dream can become a reality when you book either of our dive packages.
3 Day Dive:
This exclusive dive includes a personal Dive Master so assist you on your 3 day dive. There will be three dives during each day of the package with a cost of $350 per person.
-3 meals for each day of the dive.
-Snacks & drinks.
-Tanks, Air tanks, Weight belts & Weights.
We also have a package that does not include the Dive Masters assistance for the 3 day dive. This offer has a cost of $300 per group of 3 people.
We require each diver to have their own VCD & Regulator.
Day trip to East Harbor
Barry can provide transportation for a trip from the Cays to East Harbor, the main town on the island of Utila. The town is fun to visit because of the Caribbean architecture, shops, and restaurants- including an ice cream store. It is a good place to get souvenirs, if needed. You can also spend the day on rented bikes, exploring the town and surrounding beaches. The cost for a one way ride to Utila or back is $50. (NOTE: This price is the same for pick-up in East Harbor when you arrive and when you depart.)
Weather permitting, Barry can take you out for several hours of deep-sea fishing. Bonita, barracudas, and albacore are what you might catch. In addition, it is worth mentioning that any time you are out on the ocean you may see a whale shark. Utila is the only place in the world where there are whale sharks year round. Equipment will be provided. The cost of a fishing trip is $150 minimum 6 people.
If you are interested in chartering a boat for a tour around the main island (a half day trip) or a jaunt out on the water to see what there is to see, please let Barry know. Half-day boat tours are $150. As with all boating activities, the availability of this service is subject to cancelation given the weather.

-Daily trips to Cayos Cochinos for a cost of $350.
-Pick up trips to and from Utila with a cost of $50 per trip.
